About this role
Role Overview
- Design, develop, integrate, test, and implement native Android mobile applications.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
- Define and document detailed technical designs.
- Apply technological expertise to model and system design.
- Investigate and recommend technical solutions and best practices.
- Develop applications using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Provide technical leadership and coordinate across multiple teams (cross-lab).
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth.
- Collaborate closely with design, backend, and other stakeholders.
- Provide production support and assist with release implementation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Android development.
- Strong experience building native applications for the Android ecosystem.
- Solid hands-on experience with Kotlin and Java.
- Strong knowledge of modern architectures such as MVVM and MVI.
- Experience with Server-Driven UI (SDUI).
- Proven experience designing and implementing complex mobile applications.
- English level: Intermediate (bilingual proficiency strongly preferred).
- Nice to have:
- Experience in Banking / Financial Services
- Recent experience developing online banking solutions in Canada or internationally.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of security scanning tools such as Fortify and Blackduck.
- Familiarity with Dynatrace.
- Knowledge of security concepts (SSL, Certificates, Key Store / Trust Store).
- Experience with LaunchDarkly.
- Experience with Firebase.
- Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
