Develop clear and engaging spatial products including static and interactive maps, dashboards, and web applications
Perform geospatial analysis using tools such as ArcGIS Pro, FME or Python-based workflows
Assist in cleaning, transforming, and maintaining geospatial datasets from various sources
Support the design and development of geospatial resources and user interfaces
Collaborate with GIS leads, data scientists, and subject matter experts
Explore and apply new tools, methods, and design approaches in GIS
Requirements
Two-year technical diploma in geomatics, cartography, GIS or geography plus six years related experience
Degrees and technical diplomas in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, Computer Science or related fields preferred in combination with directly related work experience
Established experience in developing GIS for public safety and emergency management
Extensive experience using ESRI software including ArcPro and the Portal for ArcGIS environment
Knowledge of scripting and programming for GIS in Python, Arcade, R, or other languages
Knowledge of the public service, government geospatial data including the Dominion Land Survey
Keen eye for intuitive design and visualization, project management, research, and recommending options for unique issue analysis
