Role Overview
- Responsible for challenging reliability and toil reduction projects.
- Create monitoring queries and establish service level baselines.
- Support senior engineers during incidents.
- Contribute to post-mortems and RCAs.
- Participate in disaster recovery tests.
- Implement automation and execute code in production environments.
- Create templated observability dashboards for products.
- Influence the setting of appropriate SLOs and Error Budgets.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience across most SRE practices.
- Good understanding of distributed systems and dependencies.
- Experience in automation recovery to protect service levels.
- Ability to create monitoring queries and establish service level baselines.
- Capable of supporting senior engineers during incidents.
- Participation in disaster recovery tests.
- Advanced hands-on experience of DevOps practices including monitoring, cloud storage, containers, CI/CD, etc.
- Ability to create and/or present RCAs including executive summaries and timelines.
- Capable of leading scenario modeling exercises.
- Deep technical understanding of observability techniques across the full stack.
