Manages the personnel and activities of the Accounting Team
Develops and performs business analytics to support dynamic corporate product and service initiatives
Monitors and performs the general ledger and monthly accounting close processes
Works with team members to continue growing their skills and knowledge base
Assures the timely reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts each month
Produces monthly financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles
Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit
Prepares annual tax package for tax firm and coordinates resulting state tax filings and payments
Supports and provides financial and supporting schedules to the tax firm and coordinates state tax return mailings and payments as prepared by the tax firm
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
Certified Public Accountant designation required
Five years or more of related experience required
Proficient in Excel tools and analysis of large volumes of Excel data
NetSuite experience is helpful though not necessary
State Tax / Compliance experience helpful
