Applies basic engineering principles and scientific theory to perform testing, calculations and analysis under direction of senior peers or supervisor.
Typically assigned to routine work where precedents, standards, protocols and techniques exists.
May design the test plans for assignments/projects and select standards, methods and protocols.
Reviews design and test plans with senior peer or supervisor.
Develops knowledge in a specific ATS area of specialty or discipline.
Partners with senior technical peers to develop proficiency in a variety of issues.
Assists with the more complex projects by compiling and providing technical data.
Prepare monthly progress reports on productivity, turnaround time, and other critical business metrics for respective assignments.
Requirements
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering or other related degrees at an accredited University
Must be continuing their education towards degree during and/or after the internship
Completed Bachelor degree in Engineering and currently pursuing Master degree in Engineering with emphasis in a discipline related to assignments. (i.e., material science, mechanical engineering, etc.)
Basic knowledge in engineering research and testing concepts, theories, practices, methods, and techniques.
Basic investigative skills.
Experience working in a lab environment
Good organizational and analytical problem solving skills.
Collaboration and teamwork
Comfortable with computers: familiar with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
