Engineer and implement security controls across system infrastructure including: Compute (bare metal, virtualized, containerized)
Network (switching, routing, segmentation, firewalls)
Storage systems
Identity and access management
Operating systems (Linux/Windows)
Application configuration and middleware
Support secure system architecture design for Navy combat and mission systems.
Harden systems in accordance with DoD and Navy security requirements.
Conduct technical vulnerability analysis and remediation across infrastructure components.
Support integration of security tools (EDR, SIEM feeds, logging pipelines, endpoint hardening, etc.).
Collaborate with system engineers, DevSecOps teams, and platform architects to embed security into system design.
Evaluate supply chain and hardware security considerations for deployed systems.
Support cybersecurity risk reduction in rapid prototyping and iterative OTA environments.
Requirements
Active Secret Clearance
3–5 years of cybersecurity engineering experience in DoD or similarly regulated environments
Experience securing infrastructure across multiple layers of the technical stack
Hands-on experience with:
Network architecture and segmentation
Windows and/or Linux hardening
Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.)
Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes preferred)
Identity solutions (Active Directory, PKI, RBAC models)
Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and remediation in operational environments.
Experience collaborating with infrastructure, systems, and software engineering teams.
Understanding of secure configuration baselines and system hardening practices.
