Role Overview
- Perform complex structural analysis and prepare design calculations using software like Midas, AASHTOWare Bridge Rating, STAAD
- Develop structural details and construction plans using MicroStation or AutoCAD
- Assist and check design calculations performed by others
- Prepare geometric layouts, construction specifications, and material quantity calculations
- Adherence to scope, schedule and budget for structure tasks
- Support bridge and structure proposal development through strong technical writing
- Build and maintain critical relationships with clients and organizations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 5-8 years of bridge related design experience
- P.E. license in NJ. NY license is a plus
- Prior internship experience with and understanding of AASHTO LRFD design and complex structural analysis software such Midas and CSi Bridge
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Experience with road and/or rail bridge rehabilitation design, seismic analysis, and rating analysis is desired
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
