Design and produce structural drawings and specifications for buildings (steel, concrete, and timber) in compliance with the Building Code, applicable standards, and project guidelines.
Carry out technical surveys and monitor construction sites.
Contribute to the drafting, analysis, and review of studies and expert technical reports.
Participate in integrating technical data into digital models (BIM) and ensure interdisciplinary consistency.
Ensure deliverables, schedules, and the quality of produced plans and technical documents are met.
Participate in construction cost estimation and contribute to budget preparation.
Attend project kick-off and coordination meetings.
Ensure engineering work is executed in accordance with EXP’s quality standards, applicable codes, and contractual documents.
Keep up to date with products, standards, methods, and technologies.
Perform any other related duties.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (building engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent qualification).
Between 2 and 5 years of relevant experience in building structures, preferably in consulting engineering.
Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Good knowledge of applicable building codes and standards.
Familiarity with structural design and analysis software such as ETABS, ADA, SAFI, SAP2000, or equivalents.
Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
