Role Overview
- Deliver exceptional on-site service and technical expertise to customers
- Ensure instrument uptime and timely technical support
- Provide installation and maintenance of Illumina instruments onsite within customer labs
- Interface between the field organization and internal support providing timely assistance
- Demonstrate technical competence while installing, upgrading, and maintaining instrument systems
- Coordinate and prioritize service requests to ensure customer satisfaction
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers
- Represent the company professionally, ethically, and morally at all times.
Requirements
- BSc/MSc within a relevant engineering field, or have gained some hands on engineering experience within industry
- Ability to troubleshoot electromechanical, optical, robotic and electronic systems
- Strong communication skills
- Working familiarity with genomics, sequencing applications, laboratory environments or related biomedical technologies is highly advantageous
- Experience working with complex machinery within the healthcare sector strongly preferred
- Good problem-solving ability
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Computer experience and competency is a must
- Some experience with optical alignments, robotics, electrical/electronics, and mechanical systems
- Proficient with general lab best practices and lab safety
- Must be willing to travel up to 80%
- Fluency in both French and English language.
