Support pre-construction activities by coordinating with consultants, reviewing and marking up plan sets and assisting with the permitting process related to local zoning and building codes.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and ensure adherence to Homebound Architecture standards and construction specifications across all phases of design.
Review drawings at each stage of development to verify quality, consistency with standards, and alignment with budgetary and code requirements.
Support drafting tasks and serve as a liaison with architecture partners to relay design direction, clarify revisions, and resolve plan-related questions.
Ensure that all feedback, redlines, and direction from project leads are documented and accurately incorporated into updated drawings.
Requirements
2+ years of relevant architectural experience. Experience in residential architecture is preferred.
An understanding of building systems integration, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both internal teams and external partners.
Strong drafting and redlining skills are essential, with a keen eye for detail in reviewing and modifying architectural plans. Experience with industry-standard software; AutoCAD and Revit is required.
Solid understanding of how building regulations and local jurisdiction variations affect building design and construction methods.
