Family Support Specialist – Temporary

Role Overview

• Provide in-home intervention to children and their families utilizing skill-based, evidence-based practices
• Act as a resource, provider & advocate families to promote child welfare
• Provide evidence-based interventions and case management support under contractual responsibilities
• Utilize collaborative documentation
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with community partners
• Maintain an appropriate level of direct contact with families per program requirements
• Ensure professionalism through role modeling and respect
• Report and document emergencies and critical incidents involving family members or staff
• Participate actively in individual, group, and organizational supervisions/trainings

Requirements

• Associate of Arts degree
• two years of full-time experience in human services
• strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of community resources and service providers in the service area
• scheduling flexibility with the ability to work evenings and weekends
• maintain on-call availability as needed to respond to crises
