Participate in software projects (Incident Reporting System and Smart Rescue) to develop IT solutions for our fire department customers
Contribute to the design and implementation of backend services and interfaces
Operate and maintain systems, including monitoring
Technically evaluate customer requirements within projects
Define the technology roadmap as part of product development

Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or completed vocational training as an IT specialist plus additional specialized further training with several years of professional experience
Experience in backend or full-stack development
Experience working with relational databases (e.g., CockroachDB)
Experience with the technology stack: Go, Kubernetes, Kafka, Python, AWS, PHP
Familiarity with Clean Code principles, SOLID, and agile ways of working
German language skills at C2 level and strong subject-specific English skills
You approach problems with a creative, structured and results-oriented mindset
Volunteer engagement in the volunteer fire department is an advantage
