Role Overview
- Provide technical expertise in directing and resolving Defense Based Act claims
- Manage indemnity, medical and legal aspects of assigned claims
- Utilize investigation, claim handling, litigation, and claim evaluation skills
- Provide prompt effective customer service
- Identify and review suspect/fraudulent claims
Requirements
- Knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation / procedural requirements for Workers Compensation claims
- Specialist knowledge of Defense Base Act claims preferred
- Experience in settlement evaluation and negotiation
- Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation
- Strong communication, time management, administrative and report-writing skills
