Security Officer II

Role Overview

• Provides a secure and safe environment for patients, visitors, physicians, personnel, and volunteers
• Responsible for patrolling and monitoring facility premises
• Observes and reports suspicious and unauthorized activities and unsafe conditions
• Responsible for access control and control of keys
• Renders assistance and security related services to staff, physicians, patients, and visitors
• Investigates and documents incidents relative to the facility
• Provides necessary liaison between staff and local law enforcement agencies

Requirements

• HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• PSO
• Proprietary Private Security Officer within 30 days of start date
• 1-year recent relevant experience
• General knowledge of the usual duty requirements of a security officer
• Critical thinking skills
• Decisive judgment
• Ability to write incident reports
• Ability to read business correspondence and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
