Responsible for global risk management of the Heraeus Group
Further development of the Enterprise Risk Management framework for the Heraeus Group
Responsible for methodology, standards (including policies) and processes for risk governance and their worldwide implementation
Coordinate and advise executive management and business units on identification, assessment and management of risks
Prepare and consolidate risk reporting for the Board and executive management
Conduct risk analyses and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making
Further develop methods and tools for risk monitoring (e.g., KRIs, dashboards)
Promote a risk-aware corporate culture through training and workshops
Act as the contact person for business units as well as for internal and external auditors on all risk-related topics within the organization
Work closely with Compliance, Internal Audit, Finance, Legal and other governance functions
Requirements
Degree in business administration, economics or a comparable degree with a focus on finance or risk management
Several years of professional experience (at least 10 years) in Enterprise Risk Management, risk controlling, internal audit, consulting or external audit, of which at least 5 years in Enterprise Risk Management—ideally in an international industrial company
Experience with quantitative risk assessment techniques (e.g., scenario analyses, sensitivities, Monte Carlo simulation)
Expertise in defining and implementing standards and guidelines
Deep understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (e.g., COSO ERM, IDW PS 981, ISO 31000)
Experience in establishing governance structures and reporting to executive management or a board
Experience with common GRC tools and their implementation and enhancement in a corporate context
Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
Excellent communication and presentation skills—including presentations to the board and executive management
Facilitation and meeting leadership skills in cross-functional groups as well as experience delivering methodological training for workshops and courses
