About this role
Role Overview
Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures.
Lead and oversee configuration identification, control, auditing, status accounting, and verification processes.
Ensure that configuration control is applied to complex engineering changes within the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with various departments including engineering, production, and quality assurance to plan and manage product baselines and documentation.
Conduct configuration audits to verify conformance to requirements and facilitate the resolution of discrepancies.
Provide expert guidance and support on configuration management best practices to project teams.
Maintain configuration management databases and tools, ensuring the integrity and security of configuration data.
Lead training and mentoring initiatives of other configuration analysts.
Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management and programs.
Engage daily with programs on matters of configuration and change management, conduct and lead Configuration Control Boards
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 12 years of experience in configuration management or a related field, preferably within the aerospace industry.
Strong understanding and experience with configuration management standards and practices (e.g., ISO, ANSI, CMII).
Proficient in using configuration management software tools and systems.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Proven leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.
