Assist in the operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems including: Rotating parts and lifting equipment.
Conveyor systems for material handling.
Shafts, bearings, pulleys, and motor assemblies.
Collaborate with senior mechanical engineers on routine preventive maintenance tasks.
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and participate in root cause analysis.
Understand and interpret customer operational requirements to support maintenance solutions.
Support documentation and reporting of maintenance and warehouse operations.
Manage warehouse activities including material receiving, storage, and delivery.
Control stock movements, perform regular inventory checks, and handle returns, damaged, or non-conforming materials.
Ensure efficient and proper handling in the warehouse while optimizing space utilization.
Conduct and manage regular stock count exercises e.g. quarterly or annual stock-takes.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and Warehouse Operation.
Strong knowledge of mechanics of moving components and material handling systems.
Familiarity with corrective and preventive maintenance practices.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and related software such as Revit and Navisworks is preferred.
Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
Safety certifications (work at height, fire handling, operation of motorized lifting equipment such as scissor lifts and pallet jacks) will be an advantage.
