Technical Benchmarking Analyst

Role Overview

• Conduct market analysis focusing on powertrain architectures, technologies, and industry trends;
• Collect, structure, and analyze technical and market information related to powertrain systems and components;
• Perform competitive and technical benchmarking of components, systems, and engineering solutions;
• Analyze technical data, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs);
• Collect and review engineering drawings and technical documentation;
• Use CATIA to review and analyze 3D models and technical drawings;
• Identify technical differences, design choices, and architecture alternatives;
• Evaluate trade-offs between performance, cost, manufacturability, and industrial feasibility;
• Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for technical improvement;
• Prepare technical benchmarking reports and structured analysis;
• Support engineering teams in early-stage decision-making and product strategy.

Requirements

• Engineering background (Mechanical, Automotive, or similar)
• Knowledge of automotive systems, particularly powertrain technologies
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
• Experience or familiarity with CATIA for reviewing and analyzing CAD models
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
• Ability to collect, structure, and analyze technical data
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and technical teams
• Fluency in English
• Clear and effective communication and reporting skills.
