Design and develop online course materials using established instructional design frameworks, templates, and standards.
Translate academic content into structured learning activities, assessments, and resources aligned to defined learning outcomes.
Lead academics and subject-matter experts to inform course design and apply best practice learning principles.
Contribute to course development workflows by tracking tasks, maintaining documentation, and supporting on-time delivery.
Work with production and technology teams to ensure course materials are accurately built within the LMS.
Apply accessibility, quality, and design standards to ensure consistency across courses and programs.
Identify and raise risks or issues related to course design, timelines, or deliverables to senior team members.
Incorporate multimedia and interactive elements using approved tools and approaches to enhance learner engagement.
Use feedback and quality assurance inputs to support updates and improvements to course materials.
Contribute to pedagogy and process documentation by identifying opportunities for improvement and developing reusable resources that enhance team consistency.
Contribute to team processes and shared resources that improve consistency and efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
Typically, 3–5 years’ experience in instructional design or a related field
Experience supporting the development of online experiences including collaborating with subject matter experts
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines
Experience working within higher education or similar adult learning environments (great to have)
Familiarity with learning management systems such as Moodle or Canvas (great to have)
Exposure to authoring tools such as H5P, Articulate Storyline, or similar (great to have)
Awareness of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices (great to have)
