Serve as an engineering leader and technical expert with the ability to answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the engineering staff.
Create detailed engineering plans, processes, and procedures for engineering staff to use and abide by.
Propose and oversee budgets and timelines for engineering projects.
Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by engineering staff.
Communicate and collaborate with other managers, suppliers, and contractors.
Prepare and deliver various engineering-related presentations, both internally and externally
Perform department management activities including recruitment, hiring, coaching, and leadership
Requirements
10 plus years’ experience in mechanical design (MEP)
Team supervisory experience
Bachelor’s degree mechanical engineering and PE license required
Skilled technical writer
Expert knowledge of building codes
Excellent interpersonal skills
Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment with the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
Knowledge of Sustainable certification programs
Strong software skills including Revit
