Evaluate and critically assess proposals for new venture and growth funds, including analysing fund track records and team dynamics.
Support investment proposals through internal approval processes, including preparation of investment papers.
Conduct financial and investment analysis, financial modelling, and due diligence activities.
Work with internal teams and external legal advisors to review and negotiate investment legal documentation.
Assist in the ongoing management and monitoring of the investment portfolio.
Prepare portfolio analysis, reports, and updates for internal stakeholders.
Support advisory board participation and engagement with fund managers.
Address matters arising within investments by analysing issues and developing solutions.
Requirements
Strong understanding of financial accounts and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical and commercial awareness.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
A numerate graduate with a degree in an analytical discipline such as Economics, Accounting, Law, Engineering, or Science, or equivalent analytical and operational experience.
A professional accounting qualification or investment management certificate is desirable.
Experience in fund management, investment banking, corporate finance, or commercial lending is desirable.
Knowledge of venture capital funding and due diligence processes is desirable.
Experience advising or working with SMEs in a financial capacity is desirable.
Strong stakeholder relationship management skills and the ability to develop external networks is desirable.
