About this role
Role Overview
Travel to customer sites for initial commissioning/debug
Travel to customer sites to perform repair, maintenance or SLA service on Equipment
Flexibility to support customers with potential short notice and off schedule days
Determine and report defective materials or questionable conditions for further service
Ensure the customer’s machine has a quality cosmetic appearance upon completion
Perform advance diagnosis, testing, and repairs
Stay updated on machine designs and latest training with support in Assembly
Build spare part and retrofit assemblies according to prints
Display a positive attitude every day
Promote the company and fellow employees in a positive manner at all times
Show a strong eagerness to learn
Show initiative towards excelling with the company
Clean and organize work area daily
Maintain personal appearance in a professional manner
Attend and participate in company meetings
Travel 75% or more to customer sites
Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent (required)
Two-year degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Machine Assembly Technology, etc. (preferred)
Experience with Machine Based Inspection and Defect Detection Systems (preferred)
Experience with Vision Inspection in the pharmaceutical packaging industry (preferred)
Knowledge of image processing systems and optical systems used in Manufacturing Production (preferred)
5-7 years of applicable Field Service experience (required)
5-7 years of experience in manufacturing and automation equipment (preferred)
3-4 years of experience traveling as a Field Technician (required)
Ability to travel approximately 85% or greater (required)
Ability to be on-call and provide weekend support (required)
Skillful use of hand tools and power tools
Ability to read and understand prints for assembly of mechanical hardware
Ability to read and understand basic electrical prints for wiring on assemblies
Intermediate mechanical knowledge
Basic technical mathematical knowledge
Basic to intermediate electrical knowledge
Teamwork skills to reach common goals
Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
Basic computer literacy with programs such as MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Outlook, and/or business software
