About this role
Role Overview
- Provide Instrument & Controls, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and Burner Management System engineering expertise to support site business units/operating divisions
- Work closely with discipline engineers, project managers, plant operations, and maintenance teams to deliver complex engineering solutions
- Oversee the design, specification, configuration, application, installation, and testing of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) & Burner Management Systems (BMS)
- Assist in developing and maintaining instrument documentation, functional design specifications, P&IDs, control panel layout and design, and related engineering deliverables
- Participate in hazard and risk assessments, including PHA, HAZOP, Functional Safety Assessments, and SIL studies
- Provide oversight and technical support to capital projects during FEL, detailed design & engineering, construction, and commissioning.
Requirements
- A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- 10 + years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering
- In-depth technical experience in process instrumentation and controls, including Fire & Gas, pressure, temperature, level, and flow measurement technology
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, programming and commissioning PLCs, SIS and Burner Management Systems (BMS) control equipment/systems
- Well-developed troubleshooting skills in instrumentation
- Ability to communicate effectively in technical manufacturing discussions
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of local and national safety standards.
