System Safety Engineer – III

Role Overview

• Perform and lead engineering activities including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Preliminary Hazard Assessment (PHA), Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA), Hazard Reports, Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA)
• Develop plans and coordinate completion of system and subsystem safety analysis
• Ensure traceability between system and subsystem functions, requirements, and safety artifacts
• Support verification and validation of safety and reliability requirements
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers across the program and company
• Collaborate across systems to develop best practices

Requirements

• B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of System Safety or Systems Engineering experience
• In-depth experience with performing safety analyses on safety critical systems
• Ability to lead and coordinate safety analysis products across stakeholders
• Strong safety and mission assurance fundamentals
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
