Role Overview
- Medical coding is the transformation of healthcare diagnosis, procedures, medical services, and equipment into universal medical alphanumeric codes
- Ensure the codes are applied correctly during the medical billing process
- Help abstract information from documentation, assign codes, and create claims
- Provide experienced, competent, professionally credentialed personnel for coding and/or auditing activities
Requirements
- Must be able to pass National Agency Check and Background for clearance
- Must have computer and internet at home
- MUST MAINTAIN A 95% accuracy level
- Credentialed and must have completed an accredited program for coding certification
