Plan and design the telecommunications network, defining technical solutions that ensure the quality, performance, and evolution of Eletronet’s infrastructure.
Conduct feasibility studies for Commercial area requests related to new service deployments.
Coordinate and prepare installation projects for new customer deployments.
Analyze the sizing of transmission systems and define topology to meet the demands of the transport network.
Prepare technical and system specifications according to the area of responsibility for the procurement of transport equipment, management systems, materials, and services.
Coordinate the evaluation of proposals for the supply of transmission equipment to determine acquisitions for the transport network.
Supervise the preparation of technical specifications for the qualification/homologation of equipment for the transport network (DWDM).
Coordinate the organization and preparation of project technical documentation to ensure accessibility to Eletronet’s network projects.
Coordinate the development of procedures for customer circuit testing to guarantee the measurements and performance specified for the customer.
Monitor technological advances related to transport networks with suppliers, trade shows, conferences, research centers, and science & technology funding agencies to stay technologically up to date.
Evaluate the quality of the company’s and partners’ networks to establish service quality criteria.
Define technical solutions and assess associated costs to support new customers and partnerships.
Participate in investment planning for expansions and improvements of the transport network.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering
DWDM certifications from manufacturers such as Ciena, Nokia, and Padtec are considered a plus
Knowledge of Metro Ethernet, switches, and routers
