ORU Faculty teach broadly in the curricula of their subjects.
Advise students and serve on departmental and university-wide committees.
The primary responsibilities of position will include the undergraduate level development and teaching of introductory and core courses in the discipline.
Develop courses in their area(s) of specialization.
Be responsible for producing scholarship/creative work commensurate with the requirements for promotion.
Teach critical thinking, problem solving, contemporary theory and emerging concepts in contemporary design practice.

Terminal graduate degree preferred (MFA, MDes, MGD, PhD), or equivalent degree from an accredited institution, or significant sustained industry experience in, and/or game development.
Evidence of excellent technical skills in industry standard practices to instruct undergraduate students in Unreal Engine and related software/hardware used in game development and/or virtual production and/or virtual reality.
Demonstrated professional or research practice and a strong knowledge of modeling and lighting.
Expertise in at least one of the following areas: prior university teaching, curriculum development, interdisciplinary collaboration, or industry experience.
Strong understanding of UE Blueprints, and Simulations, Rigging/ Animation or Mocap/Retargeting as it relates to cinematics, games, and/or 3D computer animation production.
Strong understanding of user-centered design, best usability and accessibility practices to shape intuitive immersive experiences.
Evidence of a current professional practice in virtual production or game engines for cinematic storytelling and/or experimental art.
Evidence of professional practice using Python and/or C++ scripting for animation tools and game engines.
Experience in traditional 2D effects programs, such as After Effects, Cinema 4D or Premier.
Experience and/or interest in developing new curriculum in game development and virtual production.
Familiarity with Autodesk Maya, Substance, Houdini and/or Zbrush.
