Senior/Staff Fullstack Engineer, MarTech

Role Overview

• Work across Immutable Play
• end-to-end platform (play.immutable.com)
• Focus on client-side components of Play, especially TypeScript, UI components
• Participate in team planning and product design sessions
• Help estimate and prioritise proposed features
• Work in an experimental environment, learning from customer feedback and iterating on products
• Tech Stack: Work across a range of bleeding-edge technologies: Typescript, React, Next.js, Go, Node.js, AWS Lambda, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Microservices, Event Oriented Systems, Terraform, Use Claude, Cursor, the AI IDE to assist your productivity
• Experience or deep interest in taking active part in setting product direction for the team
• Engage with multiple diverse stakeholders, up to and including the Founders, to arrive at the best product decisions
• Work closely collaborating with your team members to ensure operational excellence for the services your team owns
• Continually work with your team to iterate on ways of working

Requirements

• 6 + Full-Stack Software Engineering experience with extensive exposure to a product development environment
• You are comfortable using AI tools to assist developments, Passionate about AI technology with a strong understanding AI design principles
• Proactive LLM usage, clear articulation of where AI meaningfully improves workflows and product. Not surface-level
• Rapid prototype, passionate about delivering outstanding User Experience
• Think like a Product Engineer with solid product first approach
• Worked in MarTech space; user segmentation, lifecycle journeys, automation, personalisation
• A passion for delivering fantastic products to users with care and empathy
• Extensive front-end experience with TypeScript and React is a must
• Excellent back-end experience with Typescript (bonus for having Golang)
• Strong System Design thinking that fulfils both user and business requirements
• Testing client-side applications at different levels (unit, component, app)
• Solid verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders
• The ability to teach best practices to junior team members
• Have worked in a start-up or high-growth tech environment, where you’ve worn multiple hats and thrived in ambiguity
