Assistant Project Manager – Mechanical

Role Overview

• Assist in the design and project management of HVAC systems
• Planning, organizing, and executing facility projects
• Maintain close interaction with Project Managers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
• Determine Mechanical Construction needs and responsibilities
• Coordinate with sales to provide data for project scope
• Develop scope of work and project specifications
• Work with project schedule and engineering requirements
• Prepare and issue purchase orders for subcontractors
• Approve invoices and provide closeout documentation
• Maintain cost estimates of materials and project-related activities

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Experience in preparing engineering calculations, energy modeling and savings calculations, construction drawings, and project specifications
• Knowledge of applied HVAC equipment systems, Building Automation Systems, and associated support services
• Strong communication skills
• Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
