Act as lead engineer on projects, particularly those of smaller scope and limited complexity.
Complete assigned tasks of moderate to advanced complexity including design, analysis, and report writing.
Responsible for personal task management and adherence to provided deadlines and project scope.
Utilize technical software to support the planning and design of infrastructure projects.
May perform construction observation and/or site inspection to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications.
Limited and supervised interaction with clients.
Trains and mentors junior engineers.
May review work of others as needed and provides feedback in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned. No hire/fire authority.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental engineering or related plus a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
PE License required.
Must have experience with stormwater modeling, Drainage Masterplans, hydrologic & hydraulic modeling (1D & 2D), water distribution networks modeling, computational fluid dynamics modeling (CFD), and design of low impact development measures.
Must have experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D & 2D), PCSWMM, WaterGEMS, CivilStorm, StormCAD, Converge CFD, PondPack, FlowMaster and hydrologic and hydraulic components of ArcGIS Pro.
Must have experience with MicroStation, ORD, and Civil 3D.
Up to 5% regional travel required.
Telecommuting permitted 2 days a week within a reasonable commuting distance from the office, subject to manager approval.
