Update, modify, and continuously improve existing controls systems including robot, PLC, HMI, vision sensor, vision system, barcode scanner, drives, electrical distribution, and pneumatic distribution programs
Design, develop, and implement new machine controls systems including robot, PLC, HMI, vision sensor, vision system, barcode scanner, drives, electrical distribution, and pneumatic distribution programs
Schedule and complete back-ups of all electronic controls systems including robot, PLC, HMI, vision sensor, vision system, barcode scanner, drives, electrical distribution, and pneumatic distribution programs
Developing and executing training for development of other team members on controls related systems
Provide a higher level of support for maintenance technicians during breakdown situations or when requested
Recommend and implement system modifications under the direction of maintenance and engineering
Coordination of interface between Shopfloor IT and industrial networks including Profibus, Profinet
Support of equipment procurement within the procurement phases (design, delivery release, final acceptance) and signoff of the equipment
Operate within the confines of industry-accepted standards such as ISO14001 and IATF
Additional duties assigned by supervisor, including after-hours support and remote support, organization and tracking of Maintenance and Programming Work Orders
Requirements
College Technologist / Technician Diploma or Electrical engineer with extensive controls background
Minimum 2-4 years controls related experience in an automotive environment
