Creates designs and documentation for industrial motor control panels
Develops schematics, bill of materials, and assembly drawings using AutoCAD
Provide guidance and support to manufacturing and other areas
Participates in and sometimes provides training for other engineering team members
Study/analyze project technical documents and specifications
Preventing electrical hazards
Designers estimate the time, cost, labor, and materials needed
Ensure product design meets requirements, quality expectations, and timelines
Create, revise, and maintain routings and work centers in the system
Maintain revision control
Execute SAP tasks

6+ years of relevant work experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Basic familiarity with 3-phase and single-phase power design required
VFD and Soft Starters principles required
AutoCAD required
AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN preferred
Excel intermediate (using charts, graphs, fonts, borders, shading, formulas, tables, pivot chart, macros etc.) required
Industrial standards and how they are applied
Understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods
Ability to read schematics for troubleshooting
identify functional defects
Familiarity with basic programming methods and parameter identification of industrial drives and/or soft starters.
Basic electronics and circuit analysis (analyze basic DC and AC
basic electrical laws, series and parallel circuits, network analysis concepts, grounding techniques, magnetism, inductance/capacitance, resistance, diodes, potentiometers, logic operations etc.)
