About this role
Role Overview
Communicate professionally, productively, and efficiently with clients, contacts, attorneys, other paralegals, and all other professional staff.
Provide support to attorneys with drafting pleadings, efiling, conducting factual and legal research, document review/analysis, preparing productions, and preparing for hearings, depositions and mediations.
Review, gather, and organize client documents from production to discovery.
Assist with preparing pleadings, discovery requests and responses.
Provide general office support, maintain and organize files, scan/copy documents, maintain calendars, prepare expense reports, and coordinate internal/external meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Paralegal experience, preferably in a large law firm setting
Experience in litigation support, case management, and new matter intake process
Familiarity with the North Carolina State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
Experience in court efiling for both state (eFile North Carolina) and federal jurisdictions
Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and manage multiple cases, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Experience drafting and organizing discovery – both written discovery and document production
Experience with Summation Pro, Relativity or comparable eDiscovery litigation support software is a plus
Excellent analytical and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail, organizational and technical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
