Provide technical support for the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of plant control systems.
Implement control strategies and system changes on an operating plant safely and efficiently.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain operational technology (OT), PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems.
Conduct system backups, availability and redundancy checks to maintain operational integrity.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, alarm rationalisation, and alarm management.
Partner with the maintenance, operations, and reliability teams to enhance plant stability and performance.
Requirements
Degree qualifications in Electrical, Control Systems, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
Experience as a Control Systems Engineer (or similar) in mining or heavy industry processing.
Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems, with strong problem-solving skills.
Exposure to process plant maintenance planning and reliability strategies.
Strong communication , organisational, and teamwork skills.
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with initiative.
Ability to meet site requirements, including a current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain), pre-employment medical, and drug & alcohol screen.
