Prepare the planning, design, and permitting of landscape architecture, civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects using design, engineering, and graphic software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Sketch Up, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lumion, and equipment to prepare landscape architecture and design documents;
Perform zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments, and assist with determining the feasibility of projects based on the analysis of collected data;
Assist with the preparation, review, and modification of various design and landscape architecture related documents including conceptual and technical design plans, plan view and perspective renderings, specifications, construction schedules, cost estimates, and reports for projects;
Assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data and their impact on the planning and design of projects using reports, maps, drawings, design and engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs;
Provide field observation and construction administration services such as reviewing and responding to contractor requests-for-information, submittals and shop drawings, plant selection and tagging at nurseries, and preparing punch list reports;
Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting processes;
Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
5+ years of experience
In process of securing or currently maintain professional licensure
High level of creativity and exceptional computer skills in Lumion, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Office
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
Self-starter with problem solving abilities
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment and to follow direction and collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments
Willingness to work in the field as necessary
Ability to occasionally travel to and work in other office locations
Possess reliable transportation for job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing
