About this role
Role Overview
Draft, review, analyze, and interpret professional services agreements, subcontract agreements, and other commercial agreements (e.g., access agreements, reliance letters, lender consents, assignments)
Prepare redlines, comments, summaries, and recommendations with respect to professional and subcontracted services agreements
Actively negotiate agreements with internal and external stakeholders
Support the General Counsel and Assistant Counsel with managing contracts, contract tracking, and refinement of contracting process
Support contract negotiations and escalate higher-risk items appropriately
Assist in completion of RFQs, certifications, prequalification forms, legal disclosures, and supplemental questionnaires
Draft legal correspondence such as demand letters for outstanding A/R
Manage filing of mechanic’s liens
Collaborate with internal teams to collect required data, approvals, and business input as needed
Perform other duties as required
Requirements
JD preferred; but NOT required for this role
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience for candidates with a JD, minimum 5 years of relevant experience for candidates without a JD
Experience supporting engineering, construction, or architectural firms strongly preferred
Experience with professional service agreements, subcontracts, or prime consultant agreements
Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience is a plus for non-lawyer candidates
Exceptional organization and prioritization skills
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
