Role Overview
- Build prototypes using drawings or verbal direction
- Design and build test apparatus using written or verbal direction
- Assist in model shop
- Set up and conduct lab and field testing using written or verbal direction
- Operate and maintain 3D printer
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- AAS degree in Applied Engineering Technology, Tool and Die Making, Electronic Technology, or related 2 year technical degree
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Strong hands-on skillset
- Familiarity with machine shop equipment and manufacturing methods
- Familiarity with electrical lab test equipment and power supplies
- Familiarity with Programable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Familiarity with CAD software
- Familiarity with 3D printers
- Ability and willingness to learn
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple projects at once
- Ability to work at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
