Role Overview
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines
- Work with batch and streaming architectures
- Define overall data architecture for ingestion, storage, transformation, and analytics on GCP
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Data Engineers
- Oversee data ingestion architecture using SQL-based ELT pipelines
- Establish data governance and quality frameworks
- Optimize BigQuery data structures
- Provide architectural direction and mentorship to team members
- Partner with security and infrastructure teams for compliance
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture/design
- 6+ years on GCP
- Deep expertise in Google BigQuery design and performance tuning
- Strong working knowledge of Cloud Composer (Airflow)
- Solid understanding of insurance data structures from Guidewire systems
- Experience architecting enterprise-grade ELT frameworks
- Hands-on proficiency in SQL and analytical environment schema design
- Familiarity with data governance and metadata management
- Ability to lead technical teams and guide design decisions
