Senior Construction Engineer II – P6 Construction

Role Overview

• Coordinates and observes work for general conformance of contract documents.
• Provides lead construction engineer function for a wide range of large or complex projects and programs.
• Manages construction projects and provides technical oversight for all, in accordance with applicable industry standards.
• Performs field visits to support constructability reviews, inspections, evaluations, and testing.
• Independently coordinates cross disciplinary activities for the successful development and execution of projects.
• Provides a wide range of expertise in the selection, interpretation and application of codes, standards and procedures.
• Performs inspections and evaluations of existing conditions for various electrical, mechanical, structural equipment and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, or equivalent, from an accredited college or university.
• Master’s of Engineering Degree preferred.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of applicable experience preferred.
• New York State P.E License required, or P.E License from another state with New York State endorsement within 12 months of start date.
• Experience in a supervisory construction engineering role in the electric utility or industrial construction industry.
