Drafting engineering designs to mitigate various environmental contaminants
Preparing design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for remedial actions
Procuring and managing subcontractors (e.g., engineering subcontractors, construction contractors, drillers, laboratories)
Supporting, performing, or leading site characterization studies, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and engineering evaluations on contaminated soil, groundwater, and sediment remediation and drinking water treatment projects
Providing support for permit applications
Overseeing construction quality assurance
Supporting litigation or allocation matters
Managing projects and tasks
Communicating technical information to varied audiences (e.g., clients, staff, regulators, and stakeholders), including writing technical reports
Requirements
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in environmental, chemical, or civil engineering
5+ years of professional experience in environmental investigation and remediation
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, or an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification with the ability to obtain a P.E. license within 1 year
Current 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training certification
Demonstrated experience with remedial design, implementation, operation, and/or optimization
Experience with the use of ArcGIS, AutoCAD, advanced Excel, and/or 3D visualization and graphics applications to support engineering evaluations and designs
Experience developing cost estimates for investigation and remediation actions
Willingness to travel and work in the field
Proficiency with Microsoft® Office products
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers
