Special Education Assistant – Academic Administrator

Role Overview

• Directly supervises 5-10 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors
• Ensures conformance of educational programs to state and local school board standards through evaluation, development and coordination activities
• Researches and implements non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards
• Provides direct and administrative oversight of the Special Programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and school laws, regulations, policies and procedures
• Develops and oversees implementation of the school’s student achievement plan
• Assists with projects as directed by Head of School or grade level principal/director

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree
• A minimum of three years successful virtual teaching experience OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to travel 10% of the time for meetings, professional development, and school events
• Ability to clear required background check
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Previous experience as an online educator
• Previous leadership experience
