The Publishing Director provides strategic leadership for a defined segment of the AIP Publishing journal portfolio
Responsible for the performance, development, and growth of the journals within their portfolio
Contributes to portfolio strategy and leads its execution within the assigned portfolio segment
Leads and develops a team of Publishers and Associate Publishers and works closely with Editors, society partners, and cross-functional teams
Applies an enterprise lens to portfolio performance, balancing editorial priorities, community needs, and financial outcomes
Requirements
10+ years of experience in scholarly publishing or a related field with increasing responsibility for journal or portfolio development
Experience managing publishing staff and leading teams
Experience working with editors, editorial boards, and/or society partners
Experience overseeing journal financial performance, forecasting, and strategic planning
Advanced degree in relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience preferred.
