Serve as the expert in key inventory flows within SAP and act as the primary business partner with plant personnel on yield analysis, understanding the related financial impacts and reviewing associated entries and reconciliations.
Deliver efficient and effective processes on behalf of Inventory Accounting, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and legislative requirements.
Support the Senior Manager – Inventory Accounting in the management and oversight of Accenture’s inventory accounting services.
Coordinate solutions to complex and interrelated plant challenges, ensuring accurate mass balance and volumetric data.
Lead continuous process standardization and optimization efforts, supporting global alignment and cross-training strategies.
Support the achievement of functional goals by fostering a culture of accuracy, curiosity, customer‑focused service, and knowledge sharing.
Perform SOx controls and maintain supporting documentation for areas of responsibility.
Serve in lead and support capacities on global inventory initiatives and broader LYB enterprise projects.
Implement and monitor performance indicators and operational metrics, analyzing performance trends and benchmarking against standards.
Review key monthly and quarterly controls and support leadership in ensuring the continued effectiveness of internal controls.
Assist in developing, enhancing, and maintaining detailed and high-level process documents, global accounting procedures, and process controls.
Requirements
8 years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
Understanding of US GAAP; exposure to European GAAP and IFRS is an advantage.
Experience with internal controls and SOX/404 requirements.
Success in a global, fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline-driven environment.
Passion for challenging the status quo and elevating analytical capabilities.
Deep understanding of finance processes within the Petrochemicals business model (highly desirable).
SAP experience; Materials Management (MM) module knowledge is a plus.
Experience leading operational finance processes or functions of comparable scale and complexity (e.g., closing cycles, shared service environments).
Professional certifications such as CPA or CIMA are a plus.
