Manage and control all budgets assigned for the retail customers.
Promote a fast-moving brand’s awareness, increase sales, and boost customer engagement.
Deliver inspired education and training to distributor sales team, retail partners, and consumers.
Conduct a review in the store in terms of product pricing and distribution.
Drive in-store presence through display, expanding Orijen and ACANA space, and premier placement of POP/ signage.
Implement Champion’s merchandising and branding standards.
Work industry shows and weekend events that engage and educate consumers on the ORIJEN® and ACANA® brands.
Ride-a-long with Distributor Sales Representatives.
Communicate field activity to the Regional Manager through daily and weekly reporting, working together on scheduling, prioritizing, and territory planning.
Develop market knowledge with awareness of competitor’s offerings from both the consumer and retailer point of view.
Perform all administrative functions associated with direct account and retail store management within established deadlines.
Requirements
Outside sales experience ideally within the pet specialty industry, consumer packaged goods/retail experience is a plus.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
Must be able to handle, manage and overcome objections encountered within the sales process.
Remote team collaboration with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
Proven experience using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint along with a CRM program.
Experience presenting to large and small groups.
Flexibility to travel on average 50% within territory, with overnights required.
Availability for work events on evenings and weekends as needed.
Occasionally, be able to lift and/or carry up to 40lbs.
