Handle a caseload of disability claims that have progressed to litigation
Review and interpret medical records, reports, and other documentation
Collaborate with Legal Counsel to engage in settlement negotiations
Maintain detailed and organized records of all claim activities
Ensure all claim handling practices adhere to company policies
Serve as the primary point of contact for Plan Sponsors and Internal Claims Staff
Prepare regular reports on claim statuses and litigation outcomes
Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to disability claims
Provide complex claim support to the claims operations related to subrogation, arbitration, and human rights cases

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in disability insurance claims management
Strong understanding of disability insurance policies and medical terminology
Ability to rapidly learn legal procedures and practices
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in using claims management software and other relevant tools
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Law, Business, Healthcare) is an asset
Relevant certifications in insurance, legal, or healthcare fields are advantageous
Ability to meticulously review and analyze complex information
Strong problem-solving skills to develop effective litigation strategies and resolve claims efficiently
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple claims and deadlines simultaneously
High level of integrity and ethical judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.
