Oversee the SAM initiatives
Facilitate Agile workflows
Ensure compliance, governance, and process optimization outcomes
Mentor team members
Collaborate across CMS departments and vendors
Establish dashboards to track program success and deliver measurable results
Coordinate across CMS stakeholders, procurement teams, technical groups (Infrastructure, Security, Hosting, DBA)
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Hosting, Security, DBA, Operations, and Technical teams to implement asset management practices, processes, and procedures
Deliver program status overviews, asset compliance updates, and optimization recommendations to stakeholders
Interface with vendors for license renewals, contracts, and hardware/software lifecycle updates
Track financial forecasts, lifecycle costs, and budgetary alignment across SAM initiatives
Train and coach SAM team members to foster skill development and alignment with CMS standards
Ensure adherence to governance and compliance standards throughout project phases
Oversee team activities and track progress against project timelines and deliverables
Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and maintain dashboards to measure team performance and operational success
Requirements
5+ years of related experience
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile project management certification
Expertise in Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps concepts
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Understanding of regulatory frameworks associated with federal acquisition
Understanding of SAM/ITAM principles and their integration into enterprise infrastructure
Demonstrated success in implementing SAM/ITAM initiatives across enterprise environments
Experience with contract and licensing terms and conditions including initial procurement of Hardware, Software, ODCs, and Support/License renewals
Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills, including conflict resolution
Expertise in risk management and development of mitigation strategies
Proactive leadership in process improvement and automation to reduce dependencies on manual workflows
