Assist in developing a communications plan for upcoming campaigns
Support the Communications team in creating engaging and informative content for various platforms, including social media, event invitations, reports, newsletters, and more
Assist with facilitating our organization's social media calendar, including scheduling posts and engaging with our social media audience
Help create content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms
Provide support in drafting, editing, and distributing press releases under the guidance of the Communications team
Assist with the layout of internal and external communications utilizing our email marketing service provider
Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, and current events to help inform decision-making
Assist in planning and executing special events by providing support with tasks such as invitation design, and /or vendor communications
Provide administrative support and assist with special projects as assigned by the Communications team
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a California community college
Pursuing an associate's degree or certificate in Communications, Marketing, or a related field of Journalism
Strong writing and copyediting skills
Experience working with graphic design and photography
Social media communication experience
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deliverables
Excellent computer skills in standard office applications, specifically in MS Word, PowerPoint, and web browsers
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Ability to take projects from inception to completion and work both independently and as part of a team
