Serve as a Rainforest Alliance Lead Auditor, conducting certification audits of agricultural operations and supply chains
Plan, lead and carry out audits, including conducting opening and closing meetings
Assess social, environmental, and legal requirements through interviews, field observation and document review
Record, analyze and communicate findings and non-conformities clearly, objectively and technically
Prepare audit reports with verifiable evidence
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Systems, Food Science, or Food Technology
Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience in areas such as agriculture, natural resources, environmental sciences, social sciences, rural development, or similar fields
Post-secondary training in areas such as agriculture, natural resources, environmental sciences, social sciences, rural development, or similar
Demonstrated knowledge of applicable national and local laws and regulations
Experience as an auditor for social standards such as UTZ, Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, GRASP, SA8000, and SMETA
Valid APSCA Social Compliance Auditor certification issued within the last 4 years
Proven knowledge of the production of applicable commodities or experience auditing standards such as GLOBALG.A.P.
Experience in organic and/or environmental standard audits, serving as lead auditor in the last 3 years
Knowledge of processing systems for the applicable commodity or experience auditing processing systems and/or supply chain standards in GAP, organic agriculture, and/or environmental standards
