Tasked with end-to-end payroll process for weekly and biweekly union and non-union payrolls
Audit and reconciliation of HR and payroll data to identify and tackle discrepancies and ensure accuracy
Ensure employee tax setup is compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including multistate taxation rules
Audit payroll documents to ensure compliance with SOX requirements and company policy
Provide support on testing of system updates and projects, including creating test scripts, running payroll processes, and identifying and resolving errors
Ensure timely and compliant response and set up of employee garnishments
Provide ad hoc reports to management and other internal stakeholders as needed
Ensure that all record-keeping meets organizational and legal requirements
Build and maintain robust and collaborative relationships with cross-functional business partners in Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and Technology
Provide timely and reliable responses to inquiries regarding payroll issues, policies, and procedures
Special projects as assigned
Requirements
4+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a large multi-state environment
Ability to interpret union contracts, company policies, and Federal and State payroll regulations
Detail-oriented with impressive analytical skills
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills
Deep written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to troubleshoot and tackle complex issues
Ability to work self-reliantly and as part of a team
Ability to prioritize competing demands and work well under pressure
CPP preferred
Experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Oracle Fusion, or other large-scale HCM system preferred
