C/C++ core: Solid knowledge of current concepts and tools in C/C++ — no half measures, real craftsmanship.
Databases: Extensive experience, particularly with NoSQL — you know which tool fits which use case.
Linux: Strong Linux skills. The command line is your second home.
Web environments: Experience with HTTP, JSON, XML — you understand the web as infrastructure.
Cloud & distributed systems: Familiarity with large, transnational environments and distributed/parallel processing.
Web-scale experience is a plus.
